George Hurlburt

George Hurlburt retired from the Naval Air Warfare Center – Aircraft Division after 38 years of service in 2006. He retired as the manager of the Office of Secretary of Defense funded Tri- Service Test and Evaluation Community Network. Prior to retirement, he developed an award-wining dynamic ,object-oriented, warfare architecture capability which he has since enhanced using modern Knowledge Graph technique. Upon retirement, he was presented the Meritorious Civil Service Medal. Since that time he has been very active in community building through the Southern Maryland Higher Education Center, the Rotary Club of Lexington Park, the Feed St. Mary’s Food Bank and numerous other Southern Maryland civic organizations. He is currently an official Assistant Editor in Chief for the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) “IT Professional” Journal. He has received over 900 career citations on his 50
plus published papers dealing with numerous aspects of Network Science.
