The University System of Maryland at Southern Maryland (USMSM) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Dale Nesbary as Executive Director, transitioning from his role as Interim Executive Director.The announcement, made August 10, marks an important milestone for USMSM as the organization continues to expand access to higher education, strengthen workforce development, and build partnerships that create educational and career opportunities throughout Southern Maryland.

To the USM Community: Tensions are high on our USM campuses, and divisions are deepening. The war in the Middle East is both personal and political. Our students, faculty, and staff have friends and family in Gaza and Israel, and in countries where the violence is spilling over. Many of us are suffering, and I know my words have little chance of salving our pain.
