Kelly Robertson-Slagle, Director of Economic Development, holds an A.S. Degree in business administration and management development from the College of Southern Maryland and a B.S. degree in marketing from the University of Maryland. Ms. Robertson-Slagle has over 26 years of experience in government relations, business development, financial analysis, marketing, grant writing, program management, event planning and direct technical business assistance. In addition, Ms. Robertson-Slagle has extensive experience in working with new and expanding businesses and cultivating relationships between counties and the business community, economic development agencies, and state and regional agencies.
Ms. Robertson-Slagle currently serves as the Co–Chair of the Maryland Economic Development Association (MEDA) Program Committee, is a founding board member of Southern Maryland Innovates initiative and is the current Chair of the Southern Maryland Regional Innovation Collaborative. In addition, she is an active member of the International Economic Development Council and the on the Board of Directors for the College of Southern Maryland Foundation and Cedar Point Federal Credit Union.
Past board experience includes; the Patuxent Partnership, Southern Maryland Workforce Investment Board and Leadership Southern Maryland.
She is a 2010 graduate of Leadership Southern Maryland, 2018 graduate of Leadership Maryland and a 2021 graduate of the National Association of Counties, High Performance Leadership Academy.
