Senator Ben Cardin and House Majority Speaker Steny Hoyer, as well as representatives from Senator Van Hollen's office, came to the USMSM campus on Monday, May 23rd to tour the new SMART building, and to learn how USMSM is growing educational access and connecting the research done at University of Maryland Clark School of Engineering on autonomous technologies to that being done at NAS Patuxent River. Engineering students showcased some of their drones and robots. In attendance were a number of the USMSM Board of Advisors, as well as representatives from NAWCAD--including executive Director Steve Cricchi.
